The core of the radiator has been constructed initially with steel to provide a sturdy frame. This has then been coated with a triple layer of copper, then an additional layer of nickel. This is because these metals provide a good barrier to rust. Finally, to finish, the radiator is completed with an exquisite layer of chrome.

These sleek radiators have been constructed for comfort, and come in an array of sizes suited to a number of bathrooms. For a recently converted downstairs bathroom, the 800mmx600mm radiator would be ideal; the Francis heated towel rails with a 1600mm length would be better suited to more open bathroom environment.

Depending on the layout of the plumbing in your house, you will have to choose between straight or angled valves. If the pipework extends from the floor, you will need straight valves. If you connect to the central heating system through pipes running behind the wall, then you will need angled valves. There is an extensive variety of styles available, and any would be compatible with Francis radiators.

We know you want a chrome finish on your radiator, but how do you confirm the calibre? A quick, easy test that can be applied is the fingerprint test. On chrome of a lighter density a smudge will be left, while denser chrome will allow the fingerprint to be rubbed away, leaving a spotless finish.
