The same range available for the heated tower rail is also available in the electric range. There are two types of electric radiator on sale: standard and thermostatic, and the type you select will depend on expected usage.
How do you know which Radiator you will need?
The heat output of our Radiators is calculated through a BTU rating, which translates as the British Thermal Unit. The higher the BTU figure, the higher the heat output. Generally, for smaller rooms, a BTU output of 900 – 1200 is ideal, while for medium and larger rooms, you would need to aim for a BTU output of around 1500 to over 2000.Once you have decided on the heat output you require, then the next step is to decide which style you desire. We have a variety of towel rail radiators which include straight, curved and square rails or, if you are looking for a more elegant radiator then why not try our Francis Flat Panel Range.
For more frequent usage, or usage over a number of hours, we would recommend the selection of a thermostatic element. Thermostatic electric elements allow a constant room temperature to be maintained. For less frequent usage, you should opt for a standard element. With standard electric elements, you can power them on and off.
Note: You must remember to switch off the standard element, otherwise the element may overheat.
If you want to use two fuels to heat your radiator, then you can purchase a T-Piece Connector. Then, you can use your central heating system to heat the radiator, or if you just want to heat just one radiator, use the element.
